This collection of activity pages has been made with the program of the Girl Guides of Canada in mind. The pages may be downloaded or printed for use by leaders working with girls between the ages of 9-12.

The drop-down menus will lead you to individual pages of activities. With many of the activities I have included a Leader's page that has suggestions and explanations to answer questions that the girls may have.

I have put this information together because as a leader of a Girl Guide unit, I was unable to find information presented in a fun format for young girls to learn and to create an interest in our Canadian Women's history and their ongoing contributions to our society.

These pages are meant to be the beginning of a learning journey that anyone can take to learn about Canadian Women.

If you cannot print the information and wish to have a copy mailed to you please e-mail me and I shall be pleased to make sure you receive a complete copy.

Please be sure to keep in touch...
send a note to let me know how the girls liked the pages.
Send a note to let me know additions or games that you would like to see added to this site.

Many famous Canadian women grew up with Guiding

"Each goal attained was like a new badge. Guiding taught me to see goals
and achieve them"

<< Chaque objectif atteint Útait comme une nouvelle badge. Le Guidisme
m'a appris Óme fixer des objectifs et Ó les atteindre.>>

As a young girl growing up in Sault Saint Marie, Ontario,
Roberta Bondar was a Brownie and a Girl Guide

We strongly feel that this site should remain completely FREE for everyone. There are, however, substantial costs involved with maintaining a site of this size and popularity. If you have used our services and enjoyed your time spent at Famous Canadian Women, please consider donating to this very important project. Thank you very much!!!
